Big news for Kim Kardashian and her husband, rapper Kanye West. The pair revealed on May 31 that they are expecting a second child and, less than two weeks later, it appears they have yet another announcement to make.

According to Us Weekly, the 34-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star and her man are expecting a baby boy. The magazine's sources say the couple, who have “always wanted two kids,” are over the moon with excitement. West, who turned 38 on Tuesday, is reportedly especially happy. The source claims the “All Day” rapper has had his fingers crossed for a boy— or “an heir” to his throne— for quite some time.

“Kanye loves Nori more than anything, but to make his world complete he wanted a little boy, an heir,” the insider said. “He’s overjoyed!”

West and his reality star wife have been very vocal about their desire to one day have a son. In an interview with Elle UK, Kardashian shared that she hoped to have “a boy and another girl” eventually. She has made similar comments on episodes of “KUWTK.” Unfortunately, it appears this will likely be the last child they have, at least naturally.

During Season 10 of “KUWTK,” the “Selfish” author revealed that she and West were struggling to conceive. She revealed the issue stemmed back to the birth of her first child, North West, in 2013. While Kardashian was pregnant her placenta grew on to her uterus, making pregnancy and childbirth very high-risk. She was advised multiple times to consider finding a surrogate, but was not keen on the idea. During a recent episode of the family’s reality show, Kardashian’s doctor’s shared with her that it was highly likely she would have to be rushed into surgery to have her uterus removed after giving birth to a second baby.

Neither Kardashian nor West have addressed rumors they are expecting a baby boy. The “KUWTK” star has, however, been extremely vocal on social media since announcing her pregnancy. So vocal, in fact, that Twitter’s security team reached out to her on June 2 to ensure her account had not been hacked. Kardashian responded that this was “#JustPregnantKeeks” and went on to slam media outlets for claiming she went on a rant.

Kardashian’s pregnancy is still in it’s earliest stages. At present, not much is known about the couple’s second child aside from the fact that she is due in December.
