  • Kim Kardashian is shutting down the KKW Fragrance website on May 1
  • The Skims founder assured fans that her line will relaunch with a new brand name and website soon
  • Kardashian also previously announced she was rebranding her KKW Beauty line last year

Kim Kardashian is temporarily closing down her KKW Fragrance line in order to prepare for an exciting new chapter.

On Friday, Kardashian announced in a statement that she will be rebranding KKW Fragrance to have a new name and website amid her ongoing divorce from Kanye West.

"On May 1st at midnight, KKW Fragrance will be shutting down the website so that we can relaunch fragrance in the future under a brand new name — and under a new web store where you can purchase from all beauty categories under one site," Kardashian wrote in the statement shared via KKW Fragrance's official Instagram account.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum expressed how the fragrance line is "deeply personal" for her.

"I put my heart and soul into every bottle, and I'm so incredibly proud of every KKW Fragrance product and collaboration that we have launched since Crystal Gardenia in 2017," she said, referencing the brand's first scent.

Kardashian went on to thank those who have supported KKW Fragrance since its launch, adding that she can't wait to introduce the next chapter of her fragrance journey. She also promised that her line of fragrances "won't be gone for too long."

The reality star ended her post by sharing that everything on the current KKW Fragrance website will be marked 40% off while supplies last.

Kardashian's fans expressed support for her decision and excitement over the upcoming rebrand.

"Can't wait for the new start!" one Instagram user commented. "So excited for the rebrand!" a second person wrote.

Some of her followers, however, appeared to have concerns as Kardashian also announced a rebrand for KKW Beauty last year, but there has been no update about it for months now.

"KKW Beauty is gone and now this. KKW Beauty has been gone too long. I'm starting to think y'all ain't coming back," one fan wrote.

"Kim, please bring back KKW Beauty. I haven't found a good eyeshadow palette since you left the game," another commented.

Kardashian has not yet revealed the new name for her fragrance line, but E! News suggested that she may drop the "W" from the brand name following her divorce from West.

The reality star was declared legally single last month and dropped the last name West from her social media accounts shortly after.

According to documents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office obtained by Page Six, Kardashian applied for numerous trademarks under the name SKKN by Kim in March 2021, one month after she filed for divorce from the rapper.

The various filings included cosmetics and fragrance, along with skincare products, home goods, hair care, nail products and candles.
