Kim Kardashian clarified recent viral comments about women in the workforce.

The comment gained attention due to the stern tone behind Kardashian’s voice when she said that "nobody wants to work these days." There were calls of hypocrisy given Kardashian has not worked a typical 40-hour workweek.

"I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f------ ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days,” Kardashian said in an interview with Variety earlier this month.

The Skims founder and reality TV star went into detail of what she claims to of actually meant in the popular soundbite of her quote during an interview Monday with ABC's "Good Morning America."

"It wasn't a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don't respect the work or think that they don't work hard. I know that they do. That was taken out of context, but I'm really sorry if it was received that way,” Kardashian told co-host Robin Roberts.

"That statement that I said was without questions and conversation around it, and it became a soundbite really with no context," Kardashian said.

Kardashian also claims that the tone of her voice was correlated to a question that she was asked before the comment.

"That soundbite came off of the notion and the question right before, which was, 'After 20 years of being in the business, you're famous for being famous,' and my whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice would you give to women."
