Stephanie Shepherd, the assistant to “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian West, was often the silent sidekick. She attended some of Kardashian’s most intimate moments, like when North West was born and when Kardashian married rapper Kanye West. She was also there when Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris during an October heist. Along the way, Shepherd remained silent —until now. The personal assistant of one of the most famous women in the world opened up about what it’s like to be the right-hand woman to a superstar to Refinery29 Tuesday.

Since she started to work with Kardashian in 2013, she also became friends with her boss and the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan. She helped put strollers together for Kardashian’s children, did her laundry and managed her scheduled. But Shepherd also doubled as Kardashian’s personal photographer.

While mixing pleasure with business, Shepherd was partying with Kardashian sister Kourtney in Paris on the night of the heist.

“It was terrifying,” she told the publication. “At the time, I had to hold it together and make sure everything was getting handled, and that we could get Kim home as quickly and safely as possible… The night of the robbery, Kourtney and I were out, we were a little drunk, so when everything happened, we rushed home and sobered up real quick. We didn't sleep that entire night. I was so busy handling stuff.”

A reported $11 million in jewels were stolen from Kardashian that night. She was tied up, gagged and locked in a bathroom. Though physically unharmed, Kardashian was shaken and hid from the public and social media for months.

Four years later, Shepherd has a relationship with all the sisters, though bonding with Kourtney wasn’t the easiest. “Kendall and Kylie, we have some of the same friends, so we'll go out together and have that relationship. Khloé is just like everybody’s friend, you can talk to her about anything, she’s just a down ass girl, truly,” the Kardashian assistant said. “And then Kourtney and I weren’t really close at all when I first started working — I don’t think she really liked me at first, to be honest! But I think when we were doing that world tour of Miami and Iceland and all those places, with so much travel time, we bonded.”

While Shepherd didn’t say anything about Kardashian’s youngest child, Saint, she gushed over North, saying she is “the sweetest child, truly, she’s so smart and so charismatic.”

One person she noticeably left out was Kourtney’s ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick, who is the father of her three children. Disick sneaked a girl on to the family vacation to Costa Rica and was slammed by the sisters and matriarch Kris Jenner when they found out. In an attempt to defend himself, Disick claimed to be a sex addict.

“I’m a sex addict,” he told Kris, Kourtney, Kim and Khloé on Sunday’s episode of “KUWTK.” “I’m a f---ed up, horrible sex addict.”

According to the “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5,” also known as the “DSM,” it’s not a real ailment. “Sex addiction is not a scientifically research-based valid diagnostic clinical category,” New York City sex therapist Ian Kerner told Yahoo Beauty Monday.
