King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and his wife Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan released the first official solo portrait of their baby boy Saturday. The little prince was born on Jan. 29. The picture of the baby prince was released by the Lingkana Palace in Thimphu.

King Jigme who turned 36 on Sunday celebrated his birthday by sharing pictures of his son to be known as “His Royal Highness, The Gyalsey.” The pictures were clicked when the baby prince turned two weeks on Friday. The official portraits of the little royal were taken by his dad at the Lingkana Palace.

“As we offer our humble love and wishes, we also rejoice, knowing that one this special year, His Majesty has the exceptional, personal happiness of being a parent,” the king and queen of Bhutan, also known as William and Kate of Bhutan, wrote on their respective Facebook pages. The royal couple posted a series of 12 photographs of the little prince.

The Crown Prince is seen in the pictures bundled tightly in a gold, embroidered blanket. His eyes are closed in the new photos. As per tradition followed in the mountainous kingdom, the baby’s name has not yet been revealed. In the pictures, both Jigme and his 25-year-old wife are seen wearing traditional outfits.

The king wears a multi-colored striped traditional dress in yellow, paired with black knee-high socks and matching shoes. His stylish wife wears a purple silk top paired with a blue wrap around full-length skirt. Her long black silky tresses are left loose in side parting.

She accessorizes with deep blue drop earrings and her diamond engagement ring. Her flawless make-up consists of black eyeliner and a hint of pink lipstick. The solo portraits have been released 10 days after Jigme and Jetsun released the first photo of them cradling their baby boy on Feb. 2.

Meanwhile, the royal couple along with their son posed with retired government officials who had come to pay their respects to the king on his birthday. Jigme took to Facebook and shared the pictures with his followers.
