There are still a few hours left before the Super Bowl LV begins, which gives fans the perfect opportunity to fill the time with cute fur babies. On Sunday, the Hallmark Channel will air “Kitten Bowl VIII” ahead of the highly anticipated showdown between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Four teams of adorable and adoptable kittens will hit the field at the Hallmark Channel Stadium and compete for the Kitten Bowl Championship trophy.

Animal lovers can either watch the feline-themed event on television or stream the game live on Hallmark TV.

“Kitten Bowl VIII” will kick off at 2 p.m. EDT with animal advocate Beth Stern returning to host the furry game.

Stern will be joined by Hallmark Channel commentators Tamera Mowry-Housley and Cameron Mathison who will deliver all of the play-by-play action throughout the game.

While the latest game will provide viewers with two hours of kitty cuteness, it will also mark a milestone of over 50,000 shelter pet adoptions since the “Kitten Bowl” premiered in 2014.

In the beginning, Hallmark teamed up with five shelter partners including the North Shore Animal League America. Since then, it has grown to over 500 organizations.

The top shelters that have the most local adoptions during local. adoption events will receive a cash grant from the Hallmark Channel.

“Kitten Bowl VIII” will air Sunday at 2 p.m. EDT on the Hallmark Channel.
