The personalities who believe Carmelo Anthony has a lot left in the tank continues to grow. The 35-year-old forward continues to be a free agent despite most batting that he still has the hops to play in the NBA. The latest one to vouch for the scoring forward is New York Knicks legend, Walt Frazier.

Speaking to Heavy.com, the NBA Hall of Famer said in a one-on-one interview that he does not like what is happening to the third overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft. He believes that Anthony deserves better and remains confident that some team will give him a chance, according to a report from Heavy.com.

Frazier, a two-time NBA champion who played for the Knicks from 1967 to 1977 before moving to the Cleveland Cavaliers, is the latest high-profile personality to give his take on Melo. Previously, it was Houston Rockets owner Tillman Fertita who also believed that the 10-time All-Star still has what it takes to play in the league and that someone will eventually pick him up during a talk with SNY.tv.

Frazier and Fertita are just some of the multiple basketball personalities who feel that Anthony can still be of use to any NBA team. Melo already said that he was willing to take on any role on any team who would be interested. So far, no one has dangled an offer to the 2013 NBA scoring champion.

Anthony last played for the Rockets on November 8, 2018. It was a stop that did not go well as Houston got off a poor start. Most felt that Melo was used as the scapegoat by the Rockets for the bad start. This may have added to the bad vibes linked to the 6-foot-8 cager with teams wary of him disrupting the chemistry despite the knack for scoring in bunches.

Aside from chemistry issues, Anthony's age is another point being considered. There are plenty of younger scorers still available in the market and age is a big factor. Teams want to add someone who has youth on their side, aware that fresh legs and injuries need to be considered. The door is not yet totally shut on Anthony. He just needs to patiently wait and hope some team finally comes knocking at his door.
