Kristin Cavallari got candid about her dating life and revealed that her DMs have essentially worked like a dating app for her.

"I’ve actually been on quite a few dates. People have set me up, mutual friends," the 35-year-old TV personality said on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast Tuesday. "My DMs have essentially been my dating app."

However, Cavallari noted that she entertains only verified profiles online when it comes to dating. She recalled dating a man for around five to six months during the height of COVID and never made that relationship public.

"It was in the height of COVID and we literally didn’t go anywhere, which was such a blessing in disguise," she said. "I know how to keep things under wraps… There’s a way to navigate around it if you really want to."

Cavallari also revealed how she began dating comedian Jeff Dye in 2020. The "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" star shared that she met the 39-year-old comedian online and he later asked her to be a guest on his podcast, titled "Jeff Dye's Friendship Podcast."

"He asked me to come on his podcast… and I thought he was cute, so I was like, ‘All right, I’ll do this podcast,'" Cavallari recalled. "And then I never did the podcast, but we ended up hanging out."

Cavallari shared that her dating scene with Dye went public immediately because of the media. The TV star shared that she'd like to spend a couple of months with the person before making the relationship public.

"The Jeff thing came out immediately," she said. "I think it was the first time we actually ever hung out. Ideally in my perfect world, there would be a couple months without people knowing so that I can get to know somebody."

Cavallari and Dye's relationship didn't work out but the TV personality believes that he was the "perfect guy" after Jay Cutler, who was married to Cavallari from 2013 to 2020.

She also shared the "ideal guy" that she is looking forward to meeting in her life. "In my head, my ideal guy is a businessman who no one knows," she explained. "I have gone on a date with a businessman in Nashville, actually. We’ll see."
