  • Cavallari and Colletti's reunion happened four months after she announced her divorce from ex-husband Jay Cutler

Kristin Cavallari and her high school sweetheart Stephen Colletti have reunited just four months after her split from her ex-husband, Jay Cutler, but they are not dating.

The "Very Cavallari" star took to Instagram and shared a photo she took while cuddling the "Hometown Christmas" actor. Cavallari didn't say much in the caption and only wrote, "2004 or 2020?!"

The reality star's post was flooded with positive responses from her followers.

"My teenage heart," one wrote.

"This. is. EVERYTHING," another commented.

"Just started rewatching Laguna Beach. This is a dream come true!" a different user added.

"This just made my day!!!" another follower wrote.

"This is what dreams are made of," @_hayley13_ stated.

"Omg!! Perfect couple," @rach_cumberland commented.

Colletti is Cavallari's first love and their relationship was well documented on MTV's "Laguna Beach" for two seasons. They started dating the year the show began filming.

"We loved hard and fought hard. My relationship with Stephen went from our own high school romance to the fodder of a hugely successful television show," Cavallari wrote in her 2016 book "Balancing in Heels."

"Stephen was the most important thing in my life, and there was nothing I cared about more. I hated fighting with him on camera because it felt like I was airing all our dirty laundry.”

In the book, she admitted that "normal high school relationships are dramatic enough" but her romance with Colletti was made even more dramatic due to the pressure of being seen on TV and by the show producers' manipulation.

"Surprisingly, the producers had a bigger effect, as they controlled and mapped our lives more than we were aware. One of the most hurtful things they did was pressure Stephen to spend time with another girl from the show, Lauren, while he and I were dating. It certainly provided some juicy conflicts, but it also affected me deeply," she recalled.

"I felt threatened. On one side, it seemed like the producers were trying to break us up, which was intimidating. On the other side, I was worried that my relationship with Stephen was becoming less stable, even though I knew if we hadn't been on television, he wouldn't have been spending time with another girl.”

However, fans should not expect much this time around because Cavallari and Colletti are not dating. Sources close to the pair told TMZ that they haven't rekindled their romance and are simply good friends.

Meanwhile, Cavallari and Cutler announced their divorce in April. Many fans were not surprised after learning about their split because for them, the two were very different individuals.
