  • Some of Cutler's fans unfollowed him for endorsing Trump

Jay Cutler has endorsed Donald Trump for president on social media, but his followers have mixed opinions about it. Some approved of his move while others questioned it and unfollowed him.

The "Very Cavallari" star endorsed Trump by sharing golfer Jack Nicklaus' letter of support to the incumbent president on Instagram. In his letter, Nicklaus expressed his disappointment with the criticisms Trump has been receiving.

"I have been very disappointed at what he's had to put up with from many directions, but with that, I have seen a resolved and a determination to do the right thing for our country," Nicklaus wrote. "He has delivered on his promises. He's worked for the average person. In my opinion, he has been more diverse than any President I have seen and has tried to help people from all walks of life – equally."

He also pointed out that the presidency is not a personality contest and more about patriotism, policies and the people they impact. He praised Trump for his love for America and its citizens and for putting the country first. Nicklaus concluded the message by urging the voters to consider giving Trump another four years.

The retired football player and reality star agreed with Nicklaus. "Never a doubt," he wrote in the caption of his post.

Cutler's post received mixed responses from his followers. Many were happy that he supports Trump because they are also voting for the POTUS. Several even commented, "Trump 2020."

"Your the man jay! As if I needed another reason to like you," one commented.

"Jay's my boy now more than ever!" a different follower added.

But many also didn't like Cutler's move. Some of them questioned his decision while others decided to just unfollow him.

"Gotta be kidding jay, you're an adult, act like one," one follower commented.

"Disappointed but not surprised," a different user wrote.

"How sad for your daughter. Unfollowing now," another commented.

Cutler and Cavallari have three children together, Camden, 8, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 4. The couple announced their split in April. In their announcement, they admitted that they were "growing apart." But many were not surprised that the "Laguna Beach" star split with her then-husband citing their differences.

“Sorry to hear that. He is a great man and father. You are a party girl and he is a realist. My heart goes out to Jay,” smh_190 commented on their announcement post.

Meanwhile, Cutler allegedly had a shady side and was mean to Cavallari, according to an insider. He would allegedly embarrass her and storm off the set. He was also allegedly not friendly to the crew of their show.
