After recognizing the true meaning of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7, consider treating yourself to a free meal or a trip to a local museum, free of charge. This year over 2,000 Blue Star Museums and a several restaurant chains will be giving away free items and/or big discounts to their customers. Find out how to secure your Labor Day 2015 freebies below.

Firehouse Subs

When you buy any sub, chips and drink from Firehouse Subs this Labor Day, you can receive a free medium sub. The offer is valid with the use of this coupon and at participating stores only. There is a limit one coupon per customer, per visit. The offer cannot be used for catering purchases or in conjunction with any other discounts.

Boston Market

If you’re looking for an all-American meal to enjoy this Labor Day, consider dining at Boston Market. The chain is offering its customers 25 percent off any family meal. The online and in-store coupon is only valid on Sept. 7 and cannot be combined with other discounts or reduced price offers.

Blue Star Museums

Now through Labor Day, more than 2,000 Blue Star Museums nationwide are giving free admission to active-duty military members and up to five of their family members. An ID card (click here for more details) is needed to obtain their offer. Find a participating museum nearest to you here.

Applebee’s and Newsday are reporting that several East Coast Applebee’s locations will be giving out free kid’s meals this Monday. The “Kids Eat Free" offer is reportedly only valid for family’s dining in and can be used for up to three free kids meals (for guests ages 12 and under) with each adult entree purchase.

Outback Steakhouse

It may not be a free Bloomin’ Onion, but it’s something! Now through Sept. 7 dine-in and curbside take-away customer can get 10 percent off their entire check with this coupon at participating Outback Steakhouse locations nationwide. The promotion does not include alcohol or gratuity. Only one coupon can be used per visit and it cannot be used in conduction with any other discounts.
