Lana Rhoades believes it was her strong belief in herself and her ability to reach her goal rather than her looks that helped her achieve success in the porn industry.

Rhoades, whose real name is Amara Maple, recently dished on her experience and success as an adult entertainer while discussing the power of visualization on the "3 Girls 1 Kitchen" podcast with co-hosts Olivia Davis and Alexa Adams.

The 24-year-old, who retired from shooting professional porn films in 2017, claimed she managed to reach the top of the adult industry despite having no "remarkable or special" qualities because she visualized herself as a successful porn star from the start.

"As soon as I started getting into the adult business, I swear there was nothing remarkable or special about me," Rhoades shared. "Everyone says, 'Oh it's because you were so pretty.' I wasn't the prettiest, there were prettier girls. It wasn't any of that."

"I think that it was just the strong will inside of me and the belief that I was going to be that," she added.

Rhoades recalled agents and producers complimenting her during their first meeting and telling her she would be the "next big star." They predicted she would be the next Jesse Jane, Jenna Jameson and Sasha Grey, something she believes she managed to achieve during her brief stint as an adult star.

However, she also recalled some of her peers being bitter over her immediate success.

"It ended up happening. I would even say that I'm bigger than a lot of them, in a lot of ways," Rhoades said of surpassing the big porn stars who came before her. "And I don't think that there's anything that's special about me or that I have more skills than the other girls or that I'm prettier."

"A lot of the girls who had been working so hard for many years to get to that position were extremely jealous," she continued. "They didn't understand it either because it's like this girl just comes and gets everything that we wanted. But I think that was my very strong manifestation. Also just believing that I was going to be that."

But after accomplishing a goal that she says she had set for herself as a child, Rhoades said she now regrets ever entering the porn industry. She explained in the same episode that she was now "deeply ashamed" of her stint as an adult star and called the adult entertainment industry "gross."
