Lance Bass and his husband Michael Turchin will soon be parents.

Bass gave an update on their upcoming twin babies while talking to Entertainment Tonight's Rachel Smith at the 2021 MTV VMAs Sunday night.

"I got twins on the way," Bass told ET. "They could come any day which I'm kind of really scared about."

The 42-year-old NSync singer first announced back in June that he and his artist husband are expecting twins via a surrogate after a long journey to becoming parents.

"I won't be at the VMAs for the next 18 years," Bass joked of being a parent.

Bass also has a project lined up: a relief concert that he, Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean and 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey are participating in next year. The benefit concert, called "TRL" or "Total Relief Live," will help combat hunger across the country.

"We're working on a little something together for January 2022, called 'TRL,' Total Relief Live, and it's a benefit concert benefiting feeding America. If you're going to call something 'TRL,' you gotta bring out the heavy hitters of TRL," Lachey said of their collaboration.

Aside from the benefit, the trio also hinted at a potential music collaboration.

"I mean, look. We get the best of the best in the same studio in the same booth. Magic is definitely happening. I mean. Who knows. We'll see," McLean told ET. "I'd like to collab with *NSYNC too," Bass quipped.

The singers also shared their thoughts on Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's recent engagement.

"So happy for her. She's obviously gone through a lot the last couple of years, so I'm glad to see that she's very happy. I've never met him, but he seems like a really cool guy," Bass told ET.

"She deserves the best, so I'm happy for her. Beyond happy," McLean added.

Meanwhile, the upcoming benefit would not be the first time that Bass has shared the stage with members of the Backstreet Boys.

In 2017, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and McLean surprised fans at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas during their "Larger Than Life" residency when they invited Bass to join them onstage. They serenaded Bass with their song "Shape of My Heart."

Meanwhile, Bass and his NSync bandmates — Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez and Chris Kirkpatrick — were last seen together in 2018 during their Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
