Brandon Routh and Nick Zano recently took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of Season 2, episode 12 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

Routh, who plays Ray Palmer/The Atom on the CW series, shared a photo of him looking grim in a silver medieval armor. In the caption of the photo, the 37-year-old actor revealed that it’s his first time playing a knight since he started acting in 1999.

Zano, on the other hand, posted a pic of what seems to be a rehearsal of a fight scene involving his character, Nate Heywood/Citizen Steel. The snapshot also shows Ray’s full knight armor, which he appears to wear on top of his Atom suit. Both Nate and Ray are wielding swords in the photo, preparing to defend themselves from a group of people who are about to attack them.

According to YVRShoots, filming for the episode, titled “Camelot/3000,” began in the forests of North Vancouver’s Lynn Canyon on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Although it’s been raining and snowing in metro Vancouver lately, the cast and crew of the “Arrow” — “The Flash” offshoot continue to film the episode in outdoor locations. In an Instagram post series actress Caity Lotz shared a day ago, the Sara Lance/White Canary portrayer wrote that she still finds Vancouver beautiful even though it can be so cold during these times.

The exact air date for episode 12 is yet to be announced, but it won’t be aired until next year, as this week’s episode of “Legends of Tomorrow” is its midseason finale.

“Legends of Tomorrow” midseason finale (Season 2, episode 8), titled “The Chicago Way,” airs on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis for the episode below:

“When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realize that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman). While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it.”
