A lot of people want to shed a couple of pounds and be a bit more healthy, but “Girls” star and creator Lena Dunham lost weight even without trying.

When she stopped by Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show on Monday morning, the host could not resist complimenting her new slim figure. Dunham told Stern that she has one person to thank for her new look, according to Entertainment Weekly, and it’s none other than President Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food,” she said. “Everyone’s been asking like, ‘What have you been doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight.’”

Dunham has been very vocal about her distaste for Trump, and it seems like the feeling is mutual. “He said I was a B-list actor with no mojo,” she said. “Here’s the funny thing. Of course, it’s a mistake, but we’re talking about him like he’s a person who is operating in a sane way, we’re talking about him like a person who doesn’t have a personality disorder.”

Dunham admitted that she was quite shocked when Trump won the presidency because she was certain his opponent, Hillary Clinton, would have won. His victory “seemed like an impossible joke” that “would never happen”, said Dunham because he was running against “the most qualified candidate we’ve ever had.” In comparison, Trump is nothing more than a “steak salesman.”

She even discussed his shocking win in a blog post on the Lenny Letter. She wrote, “Because as horrifying as I found Donald Trump’s rhetoric, as hideous as I found his racism and xenophobia, as threatening to basic decency as I found his demagogue persona, I never truly believed he could win.”
