FOX’s “Lethal Weapon” has found its own Leo Getz.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Thomas Lennon — who plays Felix Unger on CBS’ sitcom “The Odd Couple” — was cast as Leo Getz on the buddy cop series.

Like Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) and Riggs (Clayne Crawford) on the FOX series, Leo was a character that was originally introduced in the “Lethal Weapon” film franchise. He first appeared in “Lethal Weapon 2” in 1989 and returned for 1992’s “Lethal Weapon 3” and 1998’s “Lethal Weapon 4.” The character was played by Joe Pesci.

Leo’s job varies by film. He’s a banker in “Lethal Weapon 2,” a real estate agent in “Lethal Weapon 3” and a private Investigator in “Lethal Weapon 4.” On the FOX series, however, Leo is an ambulance-chasing lawyer who looks to squeeze every drop out of each petty crime.

Lennon will make his debut as Leo in the Feb. 15 episode of the series. It’s unclear, however, whether he’ll show up in more episodes in the future, given his series regular role on “The Odd Couple.”

Another upcoming guest star on “Lethal Weapon” is Hilarie Burton, who will reprise her role as DEA agent Karen Palmer in episodes 15 and 17. Burton, who rose to prominence for her portrayal of Peyton Sawyer on the WB/CW drama “One Tree Hill,” made her first appearance on the FOX series in episode 7, titled “Fashion Police.” In the episode, Murtaugh and Riggs met Palmer while investigating the murder of a fashion expeditor that was connected to a case she has been working on for years.

“Lethal Weapon’s” next episode airs on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX. Check out the synopsis for episode 12, titled “Brotherly Love,” below:

“When a car containing massive amounts of cocaine is stolen from an impound lot, Riggs and Murtaugh become embroiled in a notorious car theft ring. Meanwhile, Murtaugh experiences some frightening chest pains. If Riggs’ driving isn't enough of a trigger, the lead defense attorney on the case is none other than the terrifyingly brilliant Trish Murtaugh (Keesha Sharp).”
