LG Electronics is officially launching the LG G7 Fit in key markets after unveiling the device at IFA 2018 in Berlin a couple of months ago. The new handset is the toned-down version the LG G7 ThinQ flagship phone.

The South Korean tech company took to its online newsroom on Wednesday to announce the release of the LG G7 Fit. According to LG, the latest addition to its 2018 lineup of smartphones was specially designed for consumers who are looking for a phone that has flagship-level camera, display and audio features but is sold at a more competitive price point.

In many ways, the LG G7 Fit has specs and features that are up to par with other flagship offerings on the market. It even has the advanced features of the LG G7 ThinQ, as well as the latter’s premium all-glass and polished metal rim.

The IP68-rated device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor and it houses 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal memory. Given these specs, the LG G7 Fit is a reliable handset for gaming and entertainment.

The LG G7 Fit’s 6.1-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) FullVision display sports a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It also has Super Bright Display LCD technology that is capable of producing a maximum of 1,000 nits for spectacular visibility even when the device is used outdoors, or under the brightest sun.

Those who are after a brilliant listening experience will like the LG G7 Fit as well. The phone features LG’s most advanced audio capabilities, including the 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, Boombox Speaker and DTS:X 3D Surround Sound. All of the said features enable the handset to always offer high quality sound.

“The LG G7 Fit plays an important role in our global lineup which is very focused on introducing meaningful smartphone technology and innovation to a new and wider audience,” an LG mobile business division official said in a press release. “LG’s strategy to include our best technologies across our entire G series portfolio is to make it easier for more consumers to experience LG mobile innovation.”

LG Electronics said that the LG G7 Fit is coming to Europe, Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East starting this month and until later this year. Specific details about the phone’s availability and pricing for each region were not disclosed, but consumers can expect them to be posted by the company soon.
