Liam Hemsworth has revealed the term of endearment he uses for Miley Cyrus now that they are married. However, the actor admitted that he is still adjusting to using that word when referring to his spouse.

During his guesting on “Live With Kelly and Ryan” on Friday, the “Hunger Games” star opened up about the changes in his life since tying the knot with the former Disney talent.

One of the things Hemsworth talked about was how he shifted to calling Cyrus “wife” following their wedding. For the Aussie actor, he found it awkward to address his better half using the term in the first few weeks of their married life.

“But the first couple of weeks was really foreign to me, with ‘wife’ and ‘husband,’” he said.

Hemsworth added that it’s become a little more normal at present, but then it would still take some time to fully get used to it since they’ve only been married for a month and a half.

The “Last Song” co-stars exchanged wedding vows last Dec. 23 in their Nashville residence. The ceremony was attended by their family and closest friends. The “Hannah Montana” actress reportedly wore a silk satin gown by Vivienne Westwood for the special day, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Meanwhile, the “Isn’t It Romantic” actor also gushed about the Grammy nominee’s sweet gesture of embracing his family name in the same interview. He informed the talk show hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that his wife is officially named “Miley Ray Hemsworth.”

According to Hemsworth, he knows very well that for fans and for the showbiz industry, his wife would still be known as Miley Cyrus. Nevertheless, he couldn’t helped but be happy about what the “We Can’t Stop” singer did.

“That was honestly one of the best things about it,” he said of Miley’s name change. “I didn’t ask her to take my name, but she was like, ‘No, of course I’m taking your name.’”

The joy of the newlyweds was every evident in their public appearances following their nuptials. Last month, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Miley and Liam actually “felt married” even before they said “I do’s.”

The same source said that Miley is over the moon with her life right now. “She and Liam couldn’t be happier,” the source added.
