  • Aidoo revealed how soccer helped him pursue a dancing career

Soccer icons Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are all invited for a dance by the leader of viral “Coffin meme” called the “pallbearers.”

When COVID-19 imposed the global lockdown, people around the world, including sports fans grew bored staying at home. This has opened up an opportunity for Benjamin Aidoo, the leader of the viral “coffin dance meme,” to become famous across the world.

Aidoo previously revealed that he’s favorite soccer player is the six-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi. He also said that he wants to meet Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

“I am a fan of Barça, I like it a lot, but above all I am a fan of Messi. He is the leader and we have to thank him, without him Barça would not be what it is,” Aidoo said.

And now, the pallbearer leveled up his aspirations about meeting soccer personalities. In a recent interview with Marca (via Besoccer.com), Aidoo said that he would love to invite Messi, Ronaldo, and Ronaldinho to a dance.

According to the internet sensation, Messi, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho are his favorite players of all time. And aside from wanting to dancing with the three of them, he also dreams of playing with them someday.

“Those three are my favourites . I love Ronaldo for his personality, for his way of being. Messi is my favourite player and Ronaldinho was always smiling. I love them and I would love to dance and play with them ," Aidoo said.

Surprisingly, Aidoo isn’t only an avid fan of the sport but also a former player as well. The Ghanaian said that he started playing soccer when he was still a child. However, what he didn’t like about the sport is the training. He then revealed that soccer also played a huge role in his dancing career.

"I was left-footed and played for teams in Ghana and I liked playing, but what I hated was training. I was the only lefty on the team and I knew that every time I didn't go to practice, the coach would come and get me to play. I decided I was going to use my legs to dance. Nobody's going to kick me out of their coffin , so I stopped playing football,” Aidoo revealed.

As early as now, Aidoo is already imagining how his funeral will be celebrated. As expected, Aidoo anticipates that it will be a massive dance event and he is certain that his people would not let him rest in peace.
