Lionel Messi’s Barcelona teammate shared the things he doesn’t like in the club and its unfair treatment of players.

Ivan Rakitic, a creation native playing alongside Messi in Barcelona, has recently admitted his unhappiness with the club. Rakitic is considered a fringe player for Barca having started only eight times for the campaign so far. However, he played 90 minutes in the 2-1 La Liga win over Levante on Sunday. After the match, Rakitic disclosed displeasure with his situation at the club over the last six months.

According to Rakitic, he fully understands respect, but in Barcelona, players are “not allowed to enjoy.”

"There have been several things that I did not like. I say it very clearly. We know there are people who make decisions but here we are not to laugh or enjoy,” Rakitic told Goal.

The 31-year-old continued by emphasizing that Barcelona has zero tolerance for anything that is not good for the club. In the process, there were times where they should just do what they have to do even without fully understanding it.

"In the end the best thing for the club has to be what is good. We must accept not to understand some things,” Rakitic said.

After all, Rakitic stated that he doesn’t want to open things up again showed his gratitude at being in the starting XI against Levante. He also moved on and revealed he has accepted the decisions made by the Barcelona hierarchy.

"It's not time to talk about [my unhappiness]. I'm happy to have played today and everyone knows it, you don't have to open things again,” Rakitic explained.

"Everything has already happened and I have to turn the page and not think too much about it,” Rakitic continued.

Before ending the interview, a motivated Rakitic pointed out that he has to be in his best form especially during the “decisive part of the season.”

"You have to work in the best way possible because the decisive part of the season is coming. I want my colleagues, technicians and fans to count on me," Rakitic pointed out.

Meanwhile, Barcelona remains optimistic about something that could affect the club’s title run this season. Messi is reportedly suffering from leg injury caused by sudden changes in the club’s training sessions.

Reports also claim that the Argentine has been playing through pain in the past few games hindering him to be at his best. However, Messi still managed to perform scoring 19 goals in all competition this season in 24 games.
