  • Lizzo said the purchase was a "milestone," considering she was couch surfing and sleeping in her car 10 years ago

Lizzo is opening up about the "milestone" of buying her first home.

The "Good as Hell" singer, 34, invited "CBS Sunday Morning's" Tracy Smith into her Los Angeles house for her first network TV interview in her home.

During the interview, Lizzo spoke about what it means to her to own her first property after Smith pointed out, "Just 10 years ago, you were sleeping in your car."

"Yeah. Whoo!" Lizzo said. "Staying in, like, people's rooms, and sleeping on their couches. And now on this past tour, which I was blessed to, you know, stay in really nice places, but I was still like, 'I miss my house. I can't wait to come back home to my bed.' And I was like, 'This is the first time I've ever said this.' It's a milestone for me."

The "About Damn Time" singer gave the "Sunday Morning" crew a tour of her abode, which she described as a "cool house."

"I don't think you really get used to, like, a cool house like this," Lizzo said. "This is genuinely, like, a cool person house."

"Nothing says Christmas in L.A. like a tree by the pool," she added while showing the massive Christmas tree by the pool. "I don't use the pool nearly as much as I said I would. I gotta get in there!"

Lizzo purchased the Beverly Hills estate, which was once owned by her pal Harry Styles, for $15 million earlier this year, according to Dirt.

She posted about it on Instagram in June, sharing a series of pictures taken inside the home. "New background unlocked," she wrote in the caption.

Styles lived in the property from 2014 to 2016. The house is situated in a securely gated community on the mountains above Beverly Hills. The 5,300-square-foot mansion has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, according to Architectural Digest.

The home features a black soapstone floating fireplace, a wood-walled dressing room and a spa-like bathroom with a concrete soaking tub, which is separated from the bedroom with a marble slab wall. Its kitchen has a massive solid stone quartzite island and walnut cabinetry.

The property also comes with its own movie theater similar to a chic high-tech cave with a fireplace, multiple decks and terraces, as well as a 58-foot infinity pool.

After receiving her first Emmy this year, the singer-songwriter's album "Special" is up for six Grammy awards. Lizzo already has three Grammys, but she admitted that she didn't expect so many nominations.

"I feel like, as an artist a lot of times, I don't fit in with, like, the other artists who are making really cool songs, or songs you could play in the club, and turn up to," she told CBS. "I do feel like, 'Oh, my God, I'm such a dork of, like, the music industry.' But this is my mission. I'm gonna go and just make music that makes people feel good. I can't cuss, but F being cool; I gotta do me. I gotta help people."
