Multiple news outlets are reporting a shooting at Lone Star Community College in North Harris County, Texas, just north of Houston, early Tuesday afternoon.

While there are unconfirmed reports of three people injured, at least one person has been taken by ground ambulance to Ben Taub hospital, the reports said.

Campus spokeswoman Vicki Cassidy told a local ABC News affiliate that there is a shelter in place at the North Campus of the college.

Aldine Independent School District has put four school campuses near Lone Star on lockdown. Dunn Elementary, Parker Intermediate and Nimitz 9th grade campus and Nimitz HS campus are all being secured. The local police chief is monitoring the situation.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is on the scene, as well as other law enforcement agencies.
