Not all tech industry startups are based in California.

In fact, only two of the top 25 cities for tech industry early-stage companies are in the Golden State, according to a recent study from the Kauffman Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Kansas City, Mo.

According to Kauffman, here are the top tech towns for startups.
