LeBron James has earned the honor of becoming the highest-rated playable character in the next-generation version of the “NBA 2K21” video game franchise.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has a rating of 98 and bests the reigning two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo for the top spot. This is the seventh time that he got the aforementioned grade.

Meanwhile, the Bucks superstar has a rating of 97 and is followed by James’ teammate Anthony Davis with 96.

Houston Rockets’ James Harden is also among the top players of the game with a rating of 96. On the other hand, Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant and Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry trail with 95 each.

Joining these veteran players is Dallas Mavericks’ rising star Luka Doncic with a rating of 94.

With other seasoned and young stars making a case to be rated 98 in the renowned video game, James is still seen by its developers as the best in the league.

He’s averaged 27.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. He recently led the Lakers to their 17th world title after defeating the Miami Heat in six games during the recently-concluded NBA Bubble in Orlando.

James was the top star in the series as he copped his fourth NBA Finals MVP and the first player to earn the award with three separate teams.

The all-around forward has been the face of the NBA since getting drafted first overall in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he’s made a significant impact on the virtual world of basketball.

James has been the ambassador of the game across several different platforms. He was on the cover of the 2014 version. Meanwhile, he was front and center for the 20th anniversary-edition of the “2K19” game.

Fans of the game can get their hands on the new “NBA 2K21” when it releases its copies on Nov. 10 for Xbox Series X and on Nov. 12 for the much-awaited PS5.
