  • Magic sees Bronny could be better than Lebron
  • Bronny thrives through the pressure
  • Magic knows Bronny has big shoes to fill

It is quite early to tell whether Bronny James could end up at least at par with the player that is his father Lebron James. But for an all-time NBA great, the 15-year-old high school prospect could match or even become the better player than his legendary dad.

Magic Johnson caught up with TMZ Sports this weekend and boldly said that the eldest of the royal children could just be right on the path to surpassing the King in the better-basketball-player mano-a-mano race.

"Normally what happens is sometimes with all that skill and talent that LeBron has, it passes to his son," Johnson said. "I think that he has a chance to be unbelievable and either just as good as his dad or a little better."

Being the son of one of the best basketball players to ever live is a double-edged sword, and Bronny James choosing the same path that his father has taken just puts him at the riskier end of the weapon. Factor in the pressure of being under the microscope of spectators and even haters, James Jr. is facing a tall order while being aware that no shortcuts to greatness will be opened.

Albeit the belief is high, Magic Johnson knows the uphill climb that the 6’2 kid will have to conquer as he continued, “ But, that's big shoes to fill though. LeBron is playing awesome right now. MVP of league right now."

James Jr. is carving up his own name in the basketball scene while playing high school hoops with the Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles. Just last week, he bagged the MVP of the match citation when he led the team to a squeaker against his dad’s alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary’s in Ohio.
