Hallmark Channel’s first non-sequel June Weddings movie of 2019 is here, and it features some brand new faces to the network!

Saturday’s premiere of “Love, Take Two” stars Heather Hemmens and Cornelius Smith Jr., who are making their Hallmark debuts.

Hemmens currently stars as Maria DeLuca on The CW’s “Roswell” reboot, “Roswell, New Mexico.” This series marks her return to the network after guest-starring in a 2014 episode of “The Vampire Diaries” and after playing Alice Verdura on the short-lived, but much-loved, 2010 college cheerleading series, “Hellcats,” which also starred Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale.

The actress also starred on the OWN drama, “If Loving You Is Wrong,” as Marcie Holmes, from 2014 to 2018. “Love, Take Two” is Hemmens’ first time leading a movie, which she is “so grateful” for, per an Instagram post from the first day of filming.

As for Smith Jr., he got his start on the long-running soap opera “All My Children,” where he portrayed the character Frankie Hubbard from 2007 to 2011. He later took on the role of Whitney Houston’s brother, Michael, in Lifetime’s 2015 biopic, “Whitney.” He joined ABC’s “Scandal” as Marcus Walker that same year and stayed on the series until it ended last year.

In the world of TV rom-coms, the actor starred in Lifetime’s 2018 Christmas movie, “Jingle Belle,” opposite Tatyana Ali.

Now, Hemmens and Smith Jr. are set to play college sweethearts rekindling their love in Hallmark Channel’s June Weddings premiere of “Love, Take Two,” which was directed by Allan Harmon and written by Sib Ventress and Michael G. Larkin.
