  • Megan Fox's relationship with Machine Gun Kelly is healthier compared to her bond with Brian Austin Green, a report says

  • Fox filed for divorce from Green last month after 10 years of marriage

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are going strong, and her friends are already expecting them to take their relationship to the next level in the near future, a report says.

Fox called it quits with estranged husband Brian Austin Green last year and put an end to their 10-year marriage last month after filing for divorce. The actress' friends are now expecting her new boyfriend to pop the question in the coming months, an unnamed insider told Entertainment Tonight.

"MGK and Megan make each other laugh and that’s a big thing for Megan," the source told ET. "They keep each other smiling. MGK totally sees marriage in his future with Megan and friends could 100% see them getting engaged within the next year."

The source noted that Fox does not have engagement and marriage in mind just yet, but her relationship with Kelly is apparently better compared to the one she had with Green.

"Megan doesn’t think about getting engaged [or] married and she doesn’t put a timeline in place and it’s not something that really crosses her mind," the tipster said.

"They are going strong, but Megan is the type of person who likes to keep her partners on their toes so one day she can be super hot and another, she can be cold. MGK doesn’t mind the back and forth and they’re definitely more ‘on’ than ‘off’ on most days. Megan’s relationship with MGK is healthier than her relationship with Brian was, especially during their last year together," the source continued.

The insider added that Fox and Kelly understand and lean on each other emotionally. They also share a strong connection because they are both parents and empathize with each other in terms of their careers, parenthood and other issues. Kelly apparently felt that he was going down a bad path before he met Fox, according to the source.

Kelly earlier opened up about how having Fox around helped him with his drug abuse recovery, especially during “dark nights.”

"When you have a partner, mine being Megan, sitting there with you on those dark nights when you’re sweating and not being able to figure out why you’re so in your head, to help you get out of your head and put it in perspective, that really, really helps," he explained.

Meanwhile, the "Transformers" star said that loving Kelly was like a "tsunami or forest fire."

"The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude," she told Nylon in November.
