The International Business Times previously shared a few tips and tricks to maximizing and making the most of the macOS experience on the Mac. Here are a few more shortcuts and tricks that Mac owners can use to make the most of their Apple computer, as per MacRumors.

When using Safari

  • Copy Links faster

Want to copy that URL faster than using a mouse or trackpad? Users can do that by pressing Command + L to highlight the URL bar on top. Once the URL is highlighted, users can press Command + C to copy.

  • Picture-in-Picture

Need to watch a YouTube video while doing something else on the Mac? Simply right-click on the video twice to bring up a menu that will allow for Picture-in-Picture view. If that doesn't work, users can right-click on the audio icon in the Safari toolbar while the video is being played. This will bring up the Picture-in-Picture feature. This is helpful for those who are writing notes while watching videos.

With an Apple Watch

  • Unlock Macs faster

Those who have both a Mac and an Apple Watch can use the wearable to unlock the Apple computer. Users can make use of this feature by setting it up via System Preferences > Security & Privacy and toggling the switch to turn the “Unlock Mac with Apple Watch” feature on. Users will then be able to unlock their Mac using their health-centric wearable.

  • Better security

Apple Watch users with a Mac running on macOS Catalina can also use the Apple wearable to authenticate. This will remove the need for users to key in their passwords repeatedly.

With a Force Touch Trackpad

  • Preview

Users who own a Mac with a Force Touch trackpad can get a preview of what certain website links or URLs have to offer without having to leave the webpage they're on. Force touching on the link will give users a sneak peek.

  • Dictionary

Mac users who come across an unfamiliar word can use Force Touch to get some much-needed help from a dictionary. All users need to do is to highlight the word, then press and hold on the trackpad to bring up a dictionary definition.
