Mama June Shannon has made her comeback on Instagram after months of staying away from the social media platform, but her new post did not get the response she wanted.

The reality star, 42, posted an ad for Boombod Weight Loss Shot Drink Wednesday. She shared a video clip she recorded in her home, showing her concocting a drink using the product and chugging it down to prove to her fans that it was an easy way to lose weight.

“#ad It’s a New Year and @boombod shots are going to get me where I want to be. The holidays are over and it’s time to stick with the resolutions! Join me in taking this 7 day challenge, the shots are tasty and they are helping me get back on track,” she wrote in the caption.

However, instead of getting fans excited for her return to the platform, Mama June might have struck a nerve and caused her followers to criticize her move to promote the controversial product.

“I am sorry to say this but how about just eat healthy, exercise and stay on track girl and you will lose weight without this nonsense. It’s not working,” one wrote.

“Pullease… it doesn’t work,” another commented.

“It seems to work great for you. How much are you trying to gain?” a different follower sarcastically added.

Several fans pointed out that Mama June has been promoting the product for years, but she has yet to achieve the results the weight loss drink promises.

“You’ve been saying this for how long… please,” one stated.

“We all know this [doesn’t] work lol. Y’all been promoting this for years and haven’t lost weight,” another added.

The “Mama June: From Not To Hot” star started promoting Boombod in 2020. At the time, she showed off the product to her fans and urged them to join her in the 7-day weight loss challenge.

In the clip she shared that she captured in a small kitchen, Mama June claimed that the drink will help her fans get energized, motivated and rejuvenated while losing weight, TMZ reported.

Despite the negativity from the time she started promoting the product up to her latest paid post, some fans continued to voice their support for the TV personality. A number understood that she was doing her best to earn money since there was still no word on the renewal of her family’s reality series.

“Ignore the hate. Make ya $$ and do your thing,” a fan commented on Mama June’s new Instagram post.

“Haters on this thread go on and bully someone else. Geez. If you can't say something nice,” another fan wrote.

“But in all honesty, we should not be attacking her, she’s going to do whatever she has to do to pay her bills,” a different user pointed out.
