A Texas man claims that he can eat dog food for 30 days to prove that it is healthy. The man, Mitch Felderhoff, is one of the owners of Muenster Milling Company – a family-owned holistic dog food company.

Felderhoff made the announcement via social media as part of an effort to show his customers that his pet food is safe for dogs to eat.

"So we thought, 'Let's put a face behind the bag, and let's show them that we trust what we're putting in the food.' We thought, 'There's no better way to do it than to eat our own food.' We thought, 'We're not going to feed your dog anything that we haven't eaten ourselves,'" Felderhoff told KXAS-TV, an NBC affiliate out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Felderhoff has posted videos of himself eating kibble and freeze-dried dog foods made by the company to his Instagram account. He said the beef meatballs are “the bomb,” and eats the kibble as a snack. He has even gone shopping for his own dog food bowl to consume his meals from.

Felderhoff, a father of three, told the news outlet that his family continues to eat people food and have decided not to take a part of his dog food adventure.
