A man tortured a cow to death after sexually assaulting the animal. The incident took place in the southern Indian state of Kerala on Monday.

According to local reports, the incident came to light after the owner of the cow started searching for the animal after he couldn’t find it in it’s stable. When he was unable to find the animal, the owner informed his neighbors about it. Soon, the villagers started searching for the cow and found it lying dead. A police complaint was filed and the investigating officers found a piece of the suspect’s clothing near the body of the cow.

A medical report concluded that the two-year-old cow was sexually assaulted. Police then took the accused, identified as 33-year-old Sumesh, into custody. The accused confessed to the crime during interrogation. It was revealed that the man sneaked into the cow’s stable and took the animal away. He then sexually assaulted the cow before tying it tightly to a tree with a rope. The cow eventually died of strangulation. The accused was charged with animal cruelty and theft.

In a similar incident in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad this week, a man was charged with bestiality for having sex with a cow. The unidentified entered a cow-shed and started sexually assaulting a cow. Neighbors caught the man red-handed and filed a police complaint. The man was taken into custody and charged.
