  • Dortmund have lowered Sancho's asking price to $109 million
  • While Man Utd players want Grealish, Solskjaer still prefers Sancho
  • Aston Villa, however, are not keen on selling Grealish

Manchester United's players have reportedly urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to sign Jack Grealish instead of Jadon Sancho this summer.

Sancho has been Solskjaer's top target for over a year now. While a few Red Devils players believe the club should go with Aston Villa's Grealish, Borussia Dortmund's Sancho is still Solskjaer's first choice ahead of the 2021 summer market, reported The Telegraph.

While Manchester United's current priority is to add a right-winger to their squad, Grealish naturally plays on the left. While Aston Villa are not keen on selling Grealish, who recently signed a long-term deal with them, a bid of $106 million could change their mind, according to soccer website Teamtalk.

Last summer, along with Sancho, Grealish was also linked with a move to Old Trafford. Eventually, neither of them landed at Manchester United.

Earlier this month, Grealish's agent Jonathan Barnett rubbished any possibility of his client moving to Old Trafford ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

"The truth is we don't know [what will happen]. There are many clubs and I wouldn't put Manchester United at the top of that [list]. But he could stay as well. So, it's a conversation the club, Aston Villa, will have with Jack and ourselves then we’ll see where we go," Teamtalk quoted Barnett as saying in an interview.

It is understood that no decision on his future will be made before the European Championships. Grealish, who scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in as many as 27 competitive appearances for Aston Villa in 2020-21, was included in Gareth Southgate's preliminary England squad for the tournament, which is due to begin in June.

If Grealish has a successful tournament, his value could further shoot up this summer.

Last summer, Manchester United could not sign Sancho because Dortmund were adamant with their demands of over $142 million. Now that Dortmund have lowered the price to $109 million, the Englishman is reportedly keen on a move away from Germany.
