“The Mandalorian” has released its first photo, teasing a warrior on a desert planet. According to a new report, the TV series will be returning to a familiar location and that means meeting some alien species that were featured in the movies, as well as a very popular criminal faction. New details about the plot of the show have also surfaced online that suggest that the warrior will not be alone in his adventures.

The following article contains spoilers of “The Mandalorian” TV series.

There are a few famous desert planets in the “Star Wars” universe. The one that is expected to be featured in “The Mandalorian” is Tatooine. Fans of the franchise may remember Jabba’s palace in Tatooine.

According to a report by That Hash Tag Show, extras dressed as Gamorian guards were spotted on the set of “The Mandalorian.” The Gamorian Guards are pig-like soldiers from the planet Gamorr. They were previously seen guarding Jabba’s palace in the original trilogy.

The upcoming live-action TV series is set after the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order. That means there is scope for the criminal underworld to thrive in this period of lawlessness, especially in a remote planet like Tatooine.

As for the plot of the show, a report by Making Star Wars confirmed that there is some truth to a leak about the story being about a warrior saving a child. The story apparently revolves around the protagonist being ordered to kill a child, but he will choose to save her and protect her instead.

The report noted that sources familiar with the developments of the TV series previously revealed that the plot will be about the heir to Mandalore. It was assumed that this warrior is the heir, and his goal is to restore the planet to its former glory. With this new detail it appears as though the child is the actual heir, and the story will explore the adventures of the warrior and the girl.

The costume of the warrior will reportedly go through a change on the show from episode 3. The first costume reportedly has a belt to carry a child. A previously leaked picture from the production set shows this belt, but its purpose was not clear at that time.

The warrior will also use a blaster rifle as his main weapon, which is shown in the official picture of the series. Show Creator Jon Favreau previously teased a picture of the warrior’s main weapon on Instagram.
