“The Mandalorian” TV series will not only bring back the textures and flavor of the Original Trilogy, but it will also continue to build that world in a way that should be satisfying to the fans. According to a new report, the show will reveal the name of the alien species Yoda belonged to, which is something that has not happened in the last three decades.

The following article contains spoilers of “The Mandalorian” TV series.

Jason Ward of Making Star Wars got to meet a few people associated with the production of the show recently. He got to see pictures of five or six puppets of the Yoda species that will be featured in the TV series. The species is expected to make an appearance in the sixth episode, and the show will also give the species a name.

The plot of the episode in which the members of the Yoda species are featured is about a group of these aliens who may be a family. The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) will reportedly go to meet these people while he is on a mission as a bounty hunter.

George Lucas apparently contributed story elements for the Yoda species. Will the show explore the Jedi Master’s history? The other possibility is that the character’s relatives, or his son may be introduced on the show.

There will be a bunch of new characters to look forward to in the first “Star Wars” live-action TV series. Nick Nolte, for example, will be playing an ugnaught, Making Star Wars reported. The pig-like aliens were first introduced on the Cloud City in “Empire Strikes Back.”

Another interesting character according to Making Star Wars is an Astromech droid that has arms and legs. The trailer has already introduced IG-11, the new assassin droid with a major role.

“The Mandalorian” will be released on Nov. 12 on Disney+ streaming platform.
