Mariah Carey has completely moved on from ex James Packer and estranged husband Nick Cannon as she is now dating her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka.

A source recently told Entertainment Tonight that the 46-year-old award-winning singer and Tanaka are now officially a couple. “She is really into Bryan. He’s with her 24/7. He’s a nice guy,” said the insider.

The source also clarified that Carey and Tanaka didn’t immediately become an item right after she broke up with billionaire James Packer. But now that they are, the couple celebrated their first Christmas together. Tanaka gave Carey jewelry, while she lavished him with various gifts.

Another source revealed that Carey and Tanaka also plan to spend New Year’s Eve together. The singer will be performing on Dick Clark’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” with Ryan Seacrest in New York City. Following her performance, Carey plans to kiss Tanaka to make their relationship public.

Carey is busy preparing for the show, which will take place on Saturday night. According to the Daily Mail, the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer has been assigned a special team to make sure that she won’t be late for her gig. The producers of the New Year’s Eve special are reportedly worried that Carey won’t make it on time to open the event.

“Mariah has to be on time. She is the top performer in Times Square right before the ball drop. They’ve booked her an apartment at a top Times Square hotel for hair and makeup because they fear she’d never make it from her Manhattan apartment on time. There’s a team of top producers tasked to get her there on time and shepherd her to the stage,” a source told Page Six.
