“Married at First Sight” couples struggle to communicate all the time, and it seems like Jessica Studer is struggling to tell Austin Hurd exactly how she feels about him. Saying “I do” to a stranger is one thing, but saying “I love you” is a whole different obstacle on the Lifetime reality show.

In an International Business Times exclusive clip (seen above) from Wednesday’s Season 10, episode 12, Austin and Jess sit down to talk about their chats with the “Married at First Sight” experts. Pastor Cal Roberson advised Austin while Dr. Viviana Coles spoke with Jessica.

“Did Pastor Cal ask you what it would take for you to say no on Decision Day?” Jess asks.

“Married at First Sight” is an eight-week experiment. At the end of the eight weeks, couples decide if they want to stay married or get divorced. Jess wants to know what it would take for Austin to want to break up.

“For me, it was just a breach of trust would be it. I couldn’t do a marriage. I couldn’t do anything if I don’t trust the other person,” he said.

Luckily, it seems like he fully trusts his wife. “I have ultimate trust in you already so I don’t think that’s going to happen,” Austin assures her. “But I think both of us, that’s part of why it’s easy. We knew each other were into this for the long run. I mean, yeah, we were committed from the beginning to not just do the eight weeks.”

Jessica goes on to share what she and Dr. Vivianna discussed. “I guess one thing that I did talk about is how do I know you’re committed or how do I show that I’m committed to you? Do you think that I’m committed to you or how do you feel…” she trailed off, starting to stammer and trip over her words.

She apologizes to Austin, who tells her it’s fine.

Was Jessica trying to drop the big L-word? It looks like “I love you” might be tough for her to get out.
