Winston Duke, who is popularly known for playing M'Baku in the Marvel franchise, revealed that he learned recently, following his modeling debut in November, that he is considered a plus-size model.

The 36-year-old actor was asked during his appearance on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" on Wednesday if he has been offered any more modeling projects following the Savage X Fenty runway show. Duke replied, "No, but I've now been crowned the face of the plus-sized modeling movement."

He added, "I had no idea, apparently I'm plus-sized. So I've been running around telling people to watch how they talk to me because I'm the ambassador for plus-size modeling now. Unofficial ambassador."

Duke also reflected on his featuring on Esquire magazine's cover in November and how he received a "plus-sized man" compliment.

"There were all the tweets saying, 'We're so glad' — I was like, the cover for Esquire magazine recently — and they're like, 'It's so good to see a plus-sized man be dressed really well,'" Duke recalled. "And I'm like, 'I'm plus-sized?"

The actor jokingly added, "So I've just been going with it. I'm a plus-sized guy. I'll take it!"

On the work front, Duke reprised M'Baku's character in the newly dropped Marvel movie, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," which was released on Nov. 11 last year. Before that, he also played the same character in "Avengers: Endgame" released in 2019 and 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War."

Considering his upcoming projects, the actor will be next seen in an action drama, "The Fall Guy," which is helmed by director David Leitch. The movie is currently under pre-production and is slated to release next year in March. The flick also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emily Blunt, Ryan Gosling and Hannah Waddingham.

He will also star in another drama movie, "Marked Man," which is helmed by director Andrew Dosunmu. The story will revolve around a young black man who joins a government organization that tests his loyalty toward his country as well as his race.

Duke will also feature in director Dan Casey's action thriller, "Heroine," which is also under pre-production. On the personal front, the actor is currently single.
