  • North Korea criticized U.S. and its allies for sanctions against Russia
  • It said the U.S. and the western countries were “the mastermind of aggression"
  • Pyongyang had earlier referred to Donald Trump as a “mentally deranged US dotard”

In a show of support to Russia and anger over the sanctions imposed on Moscow, North Korea slammed the United States and other western countries, calling President Joe Biden “an old man in his senility.”

In a commentary titled “The final loser will be the United States” published Saturday on Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), international studies commentator Kim Myong Chol, lashed out at Biden for labeling Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal.”

“Calling the head of a sovereign state a ‘war criminal’ and a ‘murderous dictator’ for no justifiable and confirmed reason and to assert he must be ousted from power is an insult to the other nation and a clear infringement of sovereignty,” he wrote.

“Perhaps, the trouble was caused by him reading a script which his aides prepared beforehand, worrying about the president known for his repeated slip of the tongue. If not, the conclusion could be that there is a problem in his intellectual faculty and that his reckless remarks are just a show of imprudence of an old man in his senility,” Chol continued, according to Brussels Times, which cited KCNA. The commentary referred to Biden’s remarks in the Polish capital on Mar. 26, calling for the ouster of Putin.

Chol also said security issues had suddenly turned “into a human rights issue” for the U.S. and the West.

“The US and the West media are splashed with horrible headlines like ‘group slaughter’ and ‘massacre of civilians’ while their politicians tout ‘punishment of war criminal’ and call for ratcheting up sanctions and offering arms assistance,” read the commentary, adding the Ukraine war was the product of a politically-motivated plot planned to bring the “collapse” of Russia and its government.

It added the U.S. and the western countries were “the mastermind of aggression who caused violence, war, humanitarian disaster and instability in different parts of the world including former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, and Iraq and mercilessly murdered millions of innocent civilians.”

“Gloomy, it seems, is the future of the U.S. with such a feeble man in power," the commentary said of Biden.

North Korea, which also faces sanctions from the international community for its nuclear and missile programs, has indirectly shown support toward Putin, who has been called a "war criminal" over the atrocities in Ukraine. Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24 and, since then, thousands have been killed and millions displaced.

The recent massacre in the town of Bucha, where bodies of civilians were found scattered, forced the United Nations Human Rights Council to remove Russia.

North Korea and its leader Kim Jong Un have long criticized the U.S. and its allies, by calling them names. Before Biden was elected President, he was termed as "a rabid dog."

Pyongyang referred to the former U.S. president Donald Trump as a “mentally deranged US dotard,” and has called his predecessors Barack Obama and George W. Bush a “monkey” and “half-baked man.”
