Love is in the air and finding the perfect person to spend the holiday season with will be on the mind as Lifetime premieres its newest holiday movie, “Matchmaker Christmas,” starring Emily Rose, Corey Sevier and Melanie Nelson.

While Sevier is a holiday movie vet, having already starred in this year’s Lifetime film “Grounded for Christmas,” as well as their 2012 film “A Star for Christmas” and 2017 flick “Four Christmases and a Wedding,” his co-star, Rose, is a true novice when it comes to holiday films. The “Haven” actress will be making her overall debut on Lifetime with this role.

Nelson is also a holiday movie vet, and like Sevier, has a healthy resume when it comes to these kinds of films. She previously co-starred in Lifetime’s 2018 film “My Christmas Inn,” and also had roles in Hallmark channel’s films “12 Gifts of Christmas,” “Enchanted Christmas” and “Sharing Christmas.”

What can fans expect in a holiday movie with a title that indicates romance is imminent with this diverse holiday cast? Let’s find out.

“As the Christmas Party for a book publishing company approaches, editor Maggie (Rose) volunteers to help her boss Amanda (Nelson) find a date. Matchmaking is a bit of a hobby for Maggie, but she is thrown off her game when Jaxson (Sevier), her old boyfriend from her college years, shows up at her work—as a newly signed, successful author.”

Now, Maggie will find herself challenged in a way she never expected, because not only does she have to confront the feelings she still has for her old flame, but her boss also seems to feel something with him as well, meaning she could wind up risking either her career or her happiness-potentially both—as a result.

“Maggie would love to deny she feels anything for him still, but Jaxson isn’t making it easy,” the synopsis continues. “She’ll have to face her decisions of the past, along with Amanda eyeing Jaxson, to bring together the perfect matches at Christmas.”

Will Maggie figure out who really belongs together and find the best Christmas matches for everyone?

“Matchmaker Christmas” airs Saturday at 6 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
