It has been more than a year since Matt Lauer was fired from NBC following sexual harassment allegations in 2017. Since then, not only has his career taken a hit, but a new report is claiming the former “Today” show anchor’s health is also suffering.

Lauer, who married Dutch model Annette Roque in 1998, was spotted dining near the Hamptons home he once shared with his kids and estranged wife.

A witness reportedly told RadarOnline Lauer dined at the Sag Harbor, New York eatery, Tutto il Giorno alone on Saturday evening. While grabbing a meal solo isn’t a big deal, an onlooker noted the former journalist’s health appeared to be deteriorating.

“He was rail thin, white as a sheet, and has lost all of his hair. He looked very sick and rundown,” the insider revealed.

Despite rumors Lauer plans on making a comeback to TV, the journalist has been staying out of the spotlight since his sexual harassment scandal.

“I was completely startled by how thin and sickly he is now…There have been talks about how he’s trying for a comeback, but he would never be able to be on television now with the way he looks,” the diner claimed.

“It would shock the public. It’s really awful because he’s clearly not taking good care of himself,” the mysterious eyewitness added.

The former NBC anchor is reportedly in the middle of negotiating a rumored divorce settlement with Roque, in which the model stands to walk away from the marriage with millions of dollars.

Lauer and Roque have not commented on the state of their marriage.
