Boban Marjanovic and the Mavs have agreed on a three-year deal to play as a back-up center for the organization. The western-conference powerhouse now has two 7-foot-three players in their roster including highly-touted big man, Kristaps Porzingis.

The 30-year-old Serbian center averaged 6.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in just 9.8 minutes a game in his four seasons in the NBA. He was signed by the Spurs in 2016 and has played for three teams before landing in the Mavericks roster.

He formerly played for the Detriot Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers. Before playing for the NBA, the gentle giant professionally played in Russia and Lithuania.

Dallas has been making noise in the offseason by adding players from the free-agent pool. The front office has brought in Seth Curry, Delon Wright and Boban Marjanovic into their roster. Meanwhile retaining Kristaps Porzingis, Maxi Kleber, Dwight Powell, Dorian Finney-Smith and veteran J.J. Barea.

The organization is poised on improving its line-up, adding essential pieces that will fill the void left by a retired Dirk Nowitzki. Dallas looks dangerous on paper, with two of the brightest NBA prospects in Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.

If both are healthy, the sophomore guard and the Latvian power-forward could form a lethal duo that could surprise Western Conference rivals. The team also added Seth Curry to bolster their 3-point shooting ability, along with the defense of Delon Wright. Tim Hardaway Jr will also play a big part in the rotation once he figures out his role in the team.

Last season, Dallas ended up with the second-worst record in the Western Conference division behind the Phoenix Suns. They won 33 times out of 82 games. Dirk Nowitzki also announced his retirement after playing 21 seasons with Mavs.

The Mavericks have previously said that they will load manage star Kristaps Porzingis in his first year as a member of the team. Porzingis tore his ACL back in February of 2018 and was on the sidelines for the rest of 2019-20. Luka Doncic will also be taken in with caution after experiencing an injury scare from a knee-to-knee collision that he suffered in a game versus the Denver Nuggets.
