The Mega Millions jackpot will continue to grow after the $400M grand prize went unclaimed following the Tuesday drawing. The Friday jackpot will be worth an estimated $429M with a $233.6M cash option.

The Mega Millions winning numbers drawn on Tuesday, Dec. 13 were 14, 22, 48, 58, and 68, with the gold Mega Ball of 6. The Megaplier was 2X. The cash value would have been $217.8M.

There were no instant millionaires following the latest lottery drawing. Players could have won $1M by hitting the Match 5 or a $2M prize if they matched the five white balls with a Megaplier purchase.

Despite the lack of million-dollar wins, players across the country scored smaller monetary prizes. Twenty-three players hit the Match 4 with the gold Mega Ball and won $10,000. However, five of those players managed to hit the Match 4 plus the gold Mega Ball with the 2X Megaplier, winning $20,000 each.

The rest of the Mega Millions wins from Tuesday ranged from $2 to $1,000. A total of 875,187 tickets won prizes.

The latest drawing comes in the midst of the holiday season, which has historically produced lucrative jackpots. If the $429M jackpot is won during the next drawing it would be the 15th largest jackpot in the history of Mega Millions.

Jackpot winners can receive their grand prize through a one-time lump sum payment or an annuity. Those who opt for the annuity will receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Mega Millions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. ET.
