Megan Thee Stallion confessed that getting shot has left her traumatized.

Megan recently took to Twitter to open up about the incident involving her and rapper Tory Lanez on Sunday in which the rapper says she "suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me."

"Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own," Megan wrote on Saturday.

The "Savage" hitmaker called out the people who made jokes and memes about the incident. "It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized," she continued.

On July 12, LAPD responded to a call about a shooting incident in Hollywood Hills and found Megan, Lanez and an unidentified woman at the scene. TMZ reported that the 25-year-old rapper obtained a foot injury due to broken glass on the floor of the car.

But Megan said she had been shot and contradicted rumors that she was arrested in a statement she issued via Instagram on Wednesday. And while she did not name the assailant, the rapper said the attacker intended to cause her harm.

"The narrative that is being reported about Sunday's morning events are inaccurate and I'd like to set the record straight," she wrote. "On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets."

A new report from Page Six said Lanez has been identified as the person who shot Megan, with sources telling the publication that the incident was caught on camera.

"Tory fired the shots from within the vehicle while Megan was outside trying to leave. There is a video and the police are investigating. This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman," the source said.

Meanwhile, Megan's latest post received mixed reaction from her followers. Many fans supported her calling out netizens poking fun at such a serious incident, while others did not seem to approve of her ranting online.

"You need to direct this energy toward the person who assaulted you Megan. Don’t make it a general thing," one social media user wrote.

"People can be so insensitive. I’m sorry about what happened to you and I wish you all the best w healing from this," another commented.

"I’m sorry these clowns can’t take the pain of a black woman aeriously [sic]. We love you, and hope you’re well," another person commented.

"I’m so sorry people are treating this like a joke bb you deserve better I hope you recover soon and fully," a fan opined.

Some couldn't help but ask why Megan appears to be "protecting" her attacker.

"But why are you protecting the man you said shot you twice on purpose? That part I can’t sympathize with. Expose him!" one netizen wrote.
