Meghan Markle attempted to contact her father, Thomas Markle Sr., multiple times before her royal wedding to Prince Harry, according to court documents the Duchess of Sussex recently filed.

The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly not on speaking terms with her dad. Markle Sr. had claimed that he tried to reach out to his royal daughter several times but got no response. He alleged that Prince Harry and Markle had been ignoring him.

However, the royal mom, as per Town & Country, shared new details about her communication with her father in her latest court filings. Markle revealed that she had contacted her dad several times in the run-up to her royal wedding, but he ignored her.

According to the court filings, as per the publication, Markle “attempted contact with her father up until the day of her wedding.” The duchess also allegedly denied her father’s claim that she blocked him.

“Friend A witnessed the Claimant’s many calls to her father during the week of the wedding, from Nottingham Cottage, as well as from wedding rehearsals and pre-wedding events in Windsor and from Windsor Castle, all of which were ignored or declined,” the documents stated, as per Town & Country.

“The facts remain that: the Claimant called her father multiple times during the week of the wedding (all of which were ignored), that she did not change her phone number, nor block his number from calling her.”

Based on the documents, Markle organized everything for her dad so he could attend her big day, from his clothing items to accommodations and transport. She also assigned a dedicated assistant for her dad.

When Markle learned that he was canceling his attendance due to cardiac issues via text, she subsequently phoned him at least five times, but he didn’t answer.

The alleged documents also claim that Markle sent a security team to take her dad to the hospital, but the latter declined. They also went to the hospital to drive him safely once he was discharged, but he declined again.

“The Claimant telephoned and messaged him repeatedly to speak to him personally, with concerns for his health, but he declined to take her calls,” the court documents indicated.

Meanwhile, Markle’s uncle Mike Markle spoke about the alleged feud between the father and daughter. He said he didn’t like the way the royal treated her family.

“I don’t understand her [Markle], the way she’s treated her family. I’m not very fond of it,” Mike said.

Earlier this year, Markle’s brother apparently begged the duchess to call their dad. However, Thomas Markle Jr. also revealed that their dad no longer cared if Markle were to return to his life or not.
