Meghan Markle has finally addressed the various untrue stories about her relationship with her father Thomas Markle Sr.

The Duchess of Sussex has faced a number of criticisms from her critics from the day she joined royal family. Markle has finally broken her silence in the court documents from her lawyers.

Among the issues that Markle addressed was the inaccurate photo of her letter addressed to her father Thomas Markle Sr. According to the duchess, her personal letter was published without her consent and it was carefully edited to paint a deliberately inaccurate picture of Markle’s relationship with her dad.

“The omitted or suppressed parts of the letter amount to almost half of the actual contents,” the court paper read, as per People.

“The omitted parts demonstrate the claimant’s care for her father and others, as well as her concern about the UK tabloid media exploiting her father.”

The legal document also denied the claims that Markle didn’t inquire about her father’s health or attempt to help Markle Sr. medically or financially. Instead, the document insisted that Markle “has a long history of looking after her father’s welfare and trying to find solutions to any health problems.”

It also stated that Markle’s father did not call ahead of her royal wedding to Prince Harry to explain that he would not be attending the event. In contrary, it was Markle who reached out to her father before the wedding to “protect him, as well as to ensure that he would be able to come.” In addition, despite the reports claiming that Markle is not on speaking terms with her father, the duchess has never ignored her dad afterward or argued with him for his decision to skip her wedding.

Just recently, Markle’s uncle spoke about the way the duchess treats her family and said that he didn’t like it. According to Mike Markle, 80, he was not expecting any call or contact from the royal.

“I don’t understand her [Markle], the way she’s treated her family. I’m not very fond of it,” Mike told Daily Mail.
