  • Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their second pregnancy in February
  • In March, the couple revealed that they are having a baby girl
  • Fans are hit by royal baby fever

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced earlier this year that they were expecting their second child, a royal baby fever has been catching on among fans. Apparently, supporters are also laying odds on what the imminent royal child will be called.

People reported that UK gambling site Ladbrokes saw Phillippa becoming a popular prediction for Harry and Markle’s second bundle of joy. The U.K. gambling site slashed the betting odds on the name to 3/1.

Ladbrokes representative Jessica O’Reilly revealed many people have been projecting that Prince Harry and Meghan would name their daughter Philippa as a tribute to late Prince Philip. If the speculations are anything to go by, the Sussexes would be the third royal pair to do it.

To recall, Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie, who are both Prince Harry’s cousins, paid tribute to their late grandfather just before his shocking death by giving their newborn babies the middle name Philip. Apart from Philippa, other top name predictions include Diana and Elizabeth, which are also names of Harry’s late mom and grandmother.

Meanwhile, Markle recently opened up about her preparations for the birth of her second royal baby with Prince Harry. She even shared some details about how they would raise their upcoming daughter.

During a virtual speech for Global Citizen’s “VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the Word” last weekend, Markle said that she and her husband are very excited to welcome their daughter. “When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and support to lead us forward," she said.

“Their future leadership depends on the decisions we make and the actions we take now to set them up and to set all of us up for a successful, equitable, and compassionate tomorrow,” Markle added.

The Sussexes confirmed reports about their second pregnancy on Valentine's Day. The couple, who are already parents of Archie, also revealed that they are having a baby girl this time in a tell-all interview in March.
