Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., still has no chance to meet his grandchild in the United Kingdom.

Sources close to the former lighting director said that Thomas is still squarely persona non grata in the royal fold. The 74-year-old has failed to make amends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that’s why his daughter is still in a cone of silence when it comes to him.

Last month, royal reporter Duncan Larcombe said that it is highly unlikely that Markle would give her dad the chance to meet her firstborn. After all, Thomas has said a lot of hurtful things about her and Prince Harry during his interviews.

At one point, Thomas also posed for a series of fake photographs ahead of his daughter’s royal wedding on May 19, 2018. He was initially invited to attend the nuptials at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, but he was unable to walk the “Suits” alum down the aisle because he suffered from a stroke.

Meanwhile, Thomas is not the only member of the Markle clan who may not be able to meet the royal baby. Samantha Markle, Markle’s half-sister, may not also have the opportunity to be introduced to her niece or nephew. As of late, Markle and Samantha are not on good terms.

Royal commentator Angela Mollard told “This Morning Show” that Samantha’s decision to write and release a book about Prince Harry’s wife could be one of the things why she and Markle are not on speaking terms.

“Samantha has written a book, she is going to publish it around the time of Meghan giving birth… It’s called ‘In the Shadow of a Duchess…’ She says it’s witty and heartfelt – this from the woman who called her sister Cruella de Vil and said she was going to be responsible for their dad’s premature death,” she said.

Mollard also said that Samantha writing a witty and heartfelt book is next to impossible.
