Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, recently claimed that his daughter’s newfound fame can make him a target of kidnapping.

Mike Parker, a journalist for Express, revealed that a source close to Thomas said that the former lighting director doesn’t want to live his life constantly looking over his shoulder.

“Thomas is a heart patient who is supposed to be trying to create a stress-free environment for himself. The truth is, however, he’s in an almost certain state of anxiety and has been leading a seminomadic existence,” the source said.

Markle’s dad has also reportedly changed all of the locks to make sure that he will be safe when he’s at home.

“He’s done all he can to increase security but he’s pretty much stuck there because he can’t afford to move. He still doesn’t feel safe and fears his location makes him a sitting duck,” the source added.

During his last interview, Thomas pleaded with Markle and Prince Harry for the last time to make amends. However, the 74-year-old has not heard back from the royal couple.

But while Markle has not spoken with her dad in months, the “Suits” alum has reportedly been in close contact with her mom, Doria Ragland. In fact, the yoga instructor flew to London last summer to spend time with her daughter and son-in-law.

Omid Scobie, a royal commentator, confirmed the news on his Twitter account.

“Sources confirm to ABC and GMA that Duchess Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland visited Prince Harry and her daughter for an extended stay at their Oxfordshire home this summer. Doria is said to enjoy a close relationship with Harry and continues to be a pillar of strength for Meghan,” Scobie tweeted.

A day later, multiple publications claimed that Ragland attended some nanny lessons while she was in the United Kingdom. Reports swirled that this was her way of preparing for the arrival of her first grandchild.
