Unveiled alongside Lumia 950 series, the Microsoft Lumia 550 powered by Windows 10 Mobile can now be purchased in the U.S.

B&H Photo Video is now offering the Lumia 550 for $149.99. The retailer also said that after ordering the handset now, it’ll be shipped the next day. The retailer has listed the Black and White variants of the new Lumia.

Moving on to key specifications and features, the Lumia 550 comes with a pocket-friendly 4.7-inch LCD display and 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset, working in tandem with a quad-core processor, running at 1.2 GHz. This device is backed by 1 GB of RAM and Adreno 304 takes care of the graphics side of things.

Speaking of camera configuration, this handset features a modest 5-megapixel rear-facing sensor with LED flash support and a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies. The Lumia 550 comes equipped with 8 GB of native storage space and supports microSD card.

Apart from the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, this entry-level smartphone also comes with 4G LTE support. This handset is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 141.9 g. Microsoft has made use of polycarbonate material and the back panel is detachable, similar to the predecessor Lumia 540.

The entire configuration is backed by a good-enough 2,100 mAh removable battery cell. This unit can apparently provide up to14 hours of 3G talk time, up to 672 hours of 3G stand-by time and up to 60 hours of music play. It is worth noting that Microsoft will apparently make this device available as a dual SIM variant at some point.
