Stella Maxwell made headlines sometime back when she was recognized as the girl Miley Cyrus was making out with. But there is much more to Stella than the Miley connection -- she was one of the ten new angles introduced by international lingerie brand Victoria's Secret (VS) this year.

In her latest interview with Vogue UK, Maxwell opens up about how she was chosen to work for VS, and reveals that she was a tomboy in her childhood. The blonde beauty was chosen to work as a model while shopping with her friend in a street in New Zealand. She was approached by a woman, who owned a modeling agency.

"After my first shoot, I actually just really enjoyed it and I really got into it that I think it kind of spurred me to think about it more as a career," said the Belgium-born, Irish model in the latest issue of Vogue UK.

"I just knew I had a limited amount of time to just give my energy and show them what I have to offer," Maxwell said, adding that he was nervous at the time of the VS interview. But the judges were impressed with her moves and chose her as an angel.

She was really happy, "emotional and overwhelmed" by the news as it was like a dream come true for her. "They choose the sexiest girls and they have the sexiest lingerie. You grow up watching it," Maxwell said, adding "Every girl’s just amazing, every year. To do it, I couldn’t be happier."

Maxwell, 24, also revealed that when she is not modeling, she dresses up in a cool way.

“I like to just live my life in a very real way,” she said.
